Final Project

This year in photography class I had a great experience taking pictures. I learned many new techniques and tools which are used to take good quality photos. One tool I learned and used is Rules of Thirds. Rules of Thirds Is a made-up tic-tac toe board drawn across a photo to divide it into equivalent squares. This Tool is Important because it allows you cut the picture in 3 sections and you can position the object or person 1/3 of the picture. I used this tool by finding a nice object For example, a tree and positioning on one side of the picture. The effect it had was it made it look more interesting than just taking a picture straight on. I used it on the Social Commentary project. A second Tool I learned Sports mode. Sports mode is an important tool because you are able to catch or free fast movements. I used it by putting it on the sports mode setting which is the little figure of a man running. The effect it had on the photo was that it froze the action and was clear and not blurry. I used it on the Seven basic Shooting modes project. Another tool I Learned was Photoshop. It is an important tool because it helps make a picture better by editing it. I used it by opening up the program and opening the photo I wanted to edit. The effects it had was it made a picture look cleaner by cropping out all the parts not wanted in the photo and gave it more life. I used it on mostly all my projects including magic of cropping project.
This year we have worked on many different projects. Some which include 7 basic shooting modes, Rules of third, and the magic of cropping. My favorite project during this year has been the Shutter speed project. In this project we had to take photos in the dark using different shutter speeds. My goal when I started this project was to take an eye-catching photo. The project developed great because every time I used the camera I got better and better. My project turned out to be splendid. I liked this project so much because we was in a dark room and were taking pictures of different color lights, And also making designs and patterns with the lights. Two new Projects I suggest is a Close-up project and a project taking picture of nature (Animals & Plants).
Photography is everywhere in life. Taking pictures can be used to capture a moment to be remembered for a life time. The Tools and techniques I learned in photography class will be used in the future in many ways. In the future I can use these techniques for my little brother’s prom and graduation. I can take pictures and edit them to look proficient instead of hiring a professional photographer to take them for me. I can also use my techniques and tools when selling an item on craigslist such as a car. I can find a way to capture a picture so it looks full of life and glossy by using natural lighting rather than having a picture taking in a darken or shadowy area, it will help sell faster. I can also use my techniques if I see an accident or a crime scene. I can take pictures using different angles and rules and sell the pictures to a news station or even help out the police with clues.

alabama's Running back # 22 mark Ingram heisman trophy winner. I like this picture because it shows him holding the heisman trophy and he seems to be very happy.

i like this portrait because its in black and white and also the way she is holding the camera in front of her face.

I like this Picture because it a Drawned portrait it seems as if he was reading something and he is thinking about what he has read.

What i like about this picture is the black background. also the baby's eyes and the red the baby is wearing and the how the football stands out.

I LiKe this Portrait of Beyonce because the colors she is wearing stands out and also the way her head is tilted and the background scene is on a beach.
